Meet Amanda.
Amanda Kennon (she/her), MA, NIC is a nationally certified ASL-English interpreter who resides in the Philadelphia, PA suburbs. In addition to her interpreting work, she wears many hats as a Cued Language Transliterator, mentor, educator, consultant, author, parent-advocate, and ally.
Amanda’s special interests include: language acquisition; deliberate & reflective practice; ethical theory & practice; and neurodiversity.
At the heart of Amanda’s work is allyship to the Deaf community. She seeks to amplify marginalized voices and their lived experiences.
Personally and professionally, Amanda is an advocate for diversity, equity, inclusion, accessibility, and belonging.
With nearly two decades of experience, Amanda’s first love is ASL-English interpreting. She is continually developing her skills, including Cued Language Transliteration.
Amanda is committed to the advancement of the sign language interpreting profession through mentorship, teaching, and volunteer leadership.
